Bramptonians appear to have dug in their feet and are sticking to their positions.  The city is in the midst of great debate regarding the name of their new Central Hockey League franchise as the club’s Name Your Team Contest is winding down.  With Wednesdays removal of the Blizzard from the list of finalists only four possibilities remain.

The Brampton Blizzard would have been a great descriptive name for Canada’s only team in the southern U.S. based CHL but with Wednesdays announcement bringing the list down to four the voters have spoken.  Remaining names in the contest are the Brampton Bandits, Beast, North Stars, and Vipers

Hockey Brampton’s scrap heap of  possible names that didn’t make the cut is getting rather full with the Blizzard joining the Wolverines, Renegades, Smash, Arrows, and the Brampton Bengals as casualties of the elimination contest.

To vote for your favourite of the remaining names visit Hockey Brampton.

The Hockey Brampton Group has done a quick face lift of their website making viewing a little more appealing.  They have also announced a “100% Money Back Guarantee” for season ticket purchasers if they aren’t satisfied after the first game.
