Brampton Reneges the Renegades

The List of possible names for the Brampton CHL franchise is now down to six.  Thursday the club announced that The “Brampton Renegades” moniker has been removed from the list of finalists.

The Renegades joins the other early deletions from the final list, Brampton Smash, Brampton Arrows, and the Brampton Bengals with another name expected to be removed from voting tomorrow bringing the list to the final five.

The final name is expected to be announced in the next few weeks.

The remaining names in the contest are the Bandits, Beast, Blizzard, North Stars, Vipers, and Wolverines.

If you are in the Brampton area over the Easter long weekend, representatives from Hockey Brampton will be at the 45th Annual Brampton Canadettes hockey tournament taking votes for the Name Your Team Contest.
