Hockey Brampton revealed on Friday morning that the possible names list for the CHL franchise had suffered another casualty and was now down to five.  The club announced that The “Brampton Wolverines”  has been removed from the list of finalists.

The final five remaining names are the Brampton Bandits, Beast, Blizzard, North Stars, and Vipers

The final name is expected to be announced in the next few weeks

Being as there has never been a recorded Wolverine sighting within Brampton City limits the removal of the name is not a huge surprise.  The Wolverines join the Renegades, Smash, Arrows, and the Brampton Bengals in the growing list of finalists that didn’t make the cut.
