New York, United States –  A Manhattan man is filing a defamation suit  against a court-appointed psychiatrist who allegedly told a judge that he was an  unfit father and should be denied parental visits because he refused to take his  son to McDonald’s.

UPI reports that David Schorr, 43, decided to file a lawsuit  with the city’s Supreme Court against psychiatrist Marilyn Schiller after she  allegedly told a family law judge that he was “wholly incapable of taking care  of his son.”

The New York Post reports that Schorr himself is an attorney  who is currently going through a child custody dispute with his estranged wife.

According to the Huffington Post, the incident started last week when Schorr  refused to take his young son to McDonald’s for dinner during a visit. Schorr  explained that he wanted his son to eat healthier food options and gave him the  choice of either going to another restaurant or skipping dinner altogether.

After the boy threw a temper tantrum and chose not to eat dinner, Schorr returned  the child back to the mother who subsequently took the boy to McDonald’s in an  act of defiance.

After learning about the incident,  Schiller reportedly told a judge that the father now “raises concerns about the  viability” of his visitation rights and should have these rights either limited  or completely revoked, according to CBS News.
