Team Canada Crushes Mexico

With the opening game of the WBC’s embarrassing loss to team Italy now behind them it was time for Team Canada to get to work.  Saturday afternoon the Canadians played Mexico in a must win game for both teams.

Canadian Manager Ernie Whitt had a curious air of confidence in his pregame press conference saying repeatedly that he felt Canada was a better team than they showed on Friday.

Led by an inspiring performance from Justin Morneau the Canadians exacted some revenge of their demons of the day before with a 10-3 whipping of team Mexico.

Sundays game against Team USA is now another must win for Canada to have a chance to advance past the first round of the WBC  for the first time ever.
