In what Hockey Brampton’s Michael Miele is describing as a “survivor style” elimination the club has deleted the first two names from their Name Your Team Contest.  The first round victims are the “Brampton Smash” and the “Brampton Bengals”.

Thankfully the “Smash” is one of the first casualties, while the Central Hockey League is no stranger to odd monikers the “Smash” as a club name would have been down right embarrassing.

The plan for the remainder of the contest is to eliminate names from the list every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday until getting  to the eventual champion.   The elimination process is based on votes done by the public via hockeybrampton.com with the lowest voted names being thrown to the scrap heap.

The remaining names are the Brampton Arrows,Brampton Bandits,Brampton Beast,Brampton Blizzard,Brampton North Stars, Brampton Renegades,Brampton Vipers, and the Brampton Wolverines.  To vote for your favourite name visit the clubs website and make your voice heard.
