CN Train Carrying Petroleum Comes Off the Tracks in Alberta Steve Webster October 19, 2013 AC Archives 1707 EDMONTON- The Transportation Safety Board of Canada (TSB) has deployed a team of investigators to the site of a rail accident west of Edmonton in Gainford, Alberta. The CN train derailed 13 cars including 4 units carrying petroleum crude oil and 9 units carrying liquefied petroleum gas. TSB will gather information and assess the occurrence. We will update this story as more information becomes available The TSB is an independent agency that advances transportation safety by investigating occurrences in the marine, pipeline, rail and air modes of transportation.
