Midnight Openings for Gamer Fanatics

The much anticipated release of Microsoft’s Xbox One is almost upon us.  To help Gamers get their hands on the latest console Future Shop and Best Buy are opening locations across Canada at midnight on Thursday night.

Both franchises have scheduled all stores for the early openings (except for locations in Quebec and Sudbury)  to get the Xbox One into the hands of anxiously awaiting gamers.  A minimum of 20 unreserved consoles will be available for sale at every midnight location.

Carrying on the launch day excitement, every Future Shop and Best Buy store in Canada – including Quebec and Sudbury – are opening early at 8:00 a.m. to sell the console, games and accessories. Fifteen unreserved consoles will be available at every store when the doors open Friday.

As an added bonus one Xbox One console will be given away at each Future Shop and Best Buy store opening, – 11:45 p.m. for locations opening at midnight; 7:45 a.m. for stores in Quebec and Sudbury.

Toronto gamers are really in for a party commemorating the arrival. Future Shop’s flagship downtown store (325 Yonge St. (at Dundas St.), Toronto) will be keeping the crowd pumped up with a live DJ, advance game play on the Xbox One, gamer’s grub, giveaways and more. The festivities will get going at 9:00 p.m.  and run through until 1:00 a.m. EST .This store will have 250 unreserved consoles available for purchase.

On the other side of the country Best Buy’s Vancouver location at 2220 Cambie St (Cambie & 6th Avenue) will be having their own celebration featuring:

• 250 unreserved units available for purchase at midnight
• Zombie Carnival games
• Zombie make-up artist on-site
• Capcom developers
• Xbox One demo
• Line up before 11:45 p.m. for the chance to win an Xbox One console!
