Porsche and Volkswagon recalling 2011-16 Cayenne and Touareg Steve Webster March 24, 2016 Life, Recalls 1858 Porsche is recalling 409,477 Cayenne models worldwide covering model years 2011 to 2016 for a precautionary check. 10,235 Cayennes in Canada will be affected by the recall. The reasoning behind the check is a possible issue with a circlip that could be loose on the bearing bracket for the cars pedals. The correct assembly will be checked as part of the recall. The recall will also affect Volkswagon Touareg vehicles from 2011-2016. In a statement Porsche said, “this is a purely precautionary measure, as there have been no reports of accidents or injuries as a result of this concern.” Volkswagen on the other hand released a statement reporting, “no incidents have occurred in the US to date. However, single events have been reported overseas.” Porsch says the problem was found during internal inspections and remedied in the ongoing series. Vehicle owners will be contacted directly by the Porsche Centre responsible for them. A free of charge appointment will be arranged as quickly as possible that Porsche says will take less than half an hour. Think this is Awesome?
