I don’t feel at home in this world anymore. is not a steaming pile of crap, but you wouldn’t know it if you stopped watching after the first few minutes. This is not a gripping film from front to back and it really does have some moments when it shines.

The Film follows Nursing assistant Ruth (Melanie Lynskey) on a journey that is oddly relatable in an “I wish I had have done that” sort of way. With the help of her slightly unstable wanna be ninja neighbour Tony (Elijah Wood), Ruth sets off on a most unlikely adventure to track down the thieves who trashed and burglarized her home.

The hilarity and uncertainty that followed was more than enough to keep me along for the ride to the end with everything from ninja stars flying to sawed off shotguns blasting their way to a rather satisfying conclusion.

While not a film I will be adding to my “must watch regularly” list I don’t feel at home in this world anymore. is worth a view thanks to the humour, and underlying meaning behind the story. Lets face it, getting robbed sucks and we would all love to have the stones Ruth shows even when put in seemingly impossible circumstances.

I don’t feel at home in this world anymore. will be available to stream in Canada and Worldwide on Netflix February 24th, 2017.  Watch the trailer below.
